'bird & barn' is our annual fundraiser that exists to rally support for Project Free 2 Fly’s programs and initiatives. Our first year after launching, we knew we needed funding and that we needed to raise money.

In 2014, some of our founding Board Members, along with our Founder & CEO Hailey Johnston, decided to come up with a unique event that would fundraise for our organization. 'bird & barn' creates a market-like atmosphere in the charming rustic barn at Black Fox Farms. People are not only able to support our organization by attending, but also support other local small artisans that we highlight and support on our Instagram and Facebook pages. This year we currently have 30 vendors ranging from art to photography to boutiques to candles - really anything you can think of.

In addition to hosting a unique blend of local artisans, we also have the signature Cake Nest, Popcorn Bar, and Queen Bud, delicious food options, photo booth and other engaging activities. The ambiance of the barn, adorned with twinkling lights and filled with the chatter of friends, sets the backdrop for the perfect fall weekend.

We want our community to realize just how much participating in this event supports our organization and our mission. The proceeds we receive allow us to provide comprehensive training, mentorship, and employment opportunities to women in our community, ultimately helping them achieve self-sufficiency and independence.

For every dollar that is given, every product that is purchased, every minute given as a volunteer, every way that you support our organization, we see the impact of that within the walls here at Project Free 2 Fly. 

Not only does 'bird & barn' help us raise funds, it also fosters a sense of community involvement and awareness in our town of Cleveland, TN. We hope this brings more people to join our cause as volunteers, donors, and advocates.
