Free 2 Fly Storefront Associate
We are looking for someone who has a passion for our mission, is self-motivated, friendly, and can work in a fast-paced environment.
Position Requirements:
- 15-20 hours per week
- Available to be scheduled min. 4 hour shifts during store hours a couple days a week.
Current store hours: Monday - Friday 10-5 and Saturdays 11-3
- 2 Saturdays per month
- Available for occasional Sunday Markets
- Mandatory work week for our annual bird & barn fundraiser (September 16th - 21st, 2024)
- Available for Black Friday or Small Business Saturday
- Available to work extended Holiday hours (Ex. Saturdays 10-4)
Job Duties:
- Share our mission & story with customers.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Product Retail.
- Daily store operations (such as opening & closing tasks, helping put products into the store, customer service, assisting with seasonal fabric & leather changes, etc.)
- Assist with product inventory.
- Attend occasional markets & events.
- Assist customers & supporters in the storefront with general questions, donations, and purchases. Directing other questions to the appropriate staff member as needed.
- Assist with seasonal window display changes.
- Assist with order management (taking orders, printing orders, contacting customers for pick up, and shipping orders).
- Manage a cash register.
Skills:
- Adaptability/Flexibility — being open to change and a fast paced environment
- Friendly- able to talk with customers and supporters in the storefront and over the phone.
- Reliable/Dependable- being on time and ready to work, planning in advance for days you need to be off or a change of schedule.
- Self motivated- Able to complete job tasks independently.
Hours and Pay:
- 15-20 hours per week
- $10 / hour
