February was filled with meaningful milestones in our program. One woman secured a spot in the highly competitive United Way housing workshop, another advanced to the next program phase with a pay increase, and two women opened their very first checking and savings accounts. We also celebrated women obtaining car and medical insurance and food assistance as they work toward stability. To top off the month, we shared a special Galentine’s Day with makeovers from Bradley High School’s cosmetology class and treats from Whit’s Custard, a reminder that being seen and celebrated matters.
Each of these moments represents more than a task completed. They are stepping stones toward stability, dignity, and independence. We released our Summer Sewing Camp dates in February, and spots are already filling quickly! We’re offering three different weeks of camp this summer for girls rising 3rd grade through rising high school seniors to learn sewing skills, build confidence, and create something meaningful.
